Questions about Disney Cruise Line Dining
Are there dress codes or guidelines regarding dressing for dinner?
Most onboard dining locations are "cruise casual" so attire such as shorts and t-shirts are permitted, with the exception of swimwear and tank tops. Most cruises will have themed nights that provide opportunities to dress up as pirates or in formal attire. Palo and Remy request formal attire for brunch and dinner. Tank tops, swimwear, hats, cut-offs, torn clothing, t-shirts with offensive language/graphics, flip-flops and tennis shoes are not permitted.
What time is dinner served on board Disney Cruise Line ships?
Each night there is a main seating and a second seating for dinner. Main seating begins between 5.45pm and 6.15pm and Second seating begins between 8.00pm and 8.30pm, though these times may vary based on itinerary. Dining times can be requested when you are booking your cruise.
Where is breakfast and lunch served onboard?
Breakfast and lunch are served in various locations onboard the fleet. Cabanas offers a casual buffet, your navigator will provide you will full details of timings and locations once onboard.
Are soft drinks or alcoholic beverages included with the cost of my cruise?
Soft drinks are included at no extra cost with meals, while charges apply for bar drinks, beer, wine and bottled water. Complimentary beverage stations are located on the pool decks for you to use at your leisure. Complimentary soft drinks are also available at the teens-only lounge, Vibe, though there is a charge for smoothies.
What age must a guest be to drink alcoholic beverages on the ship?
The drinking ages onboard Disney Cruise Line is 21 and a valid photo ID is required. However, during roundtrip cruises departing from any European country that has a lower drinking age, parents or guardians may sign a Beverage Consent Form that allows their 18- to 20-year-old children to consume alcoholic beverages while in the adult’s presence.
Is room service available onboard?
Yes, 24 hours complimentary room service is included in the price of the cruise. Room service is available until 1.30am on the final day of your cruise.
Are Guests allowed to bring alcoholic beverages on board the ship?
Disney Cruise Line Guests 21 years and older may bring a maximum of 2 bottles of unopened wine or champagne (no larger than 750 ml) or 6 beers (no larger than 12 ounces) on board at the beginning of the voyage and at each port of call. These beverages must be packed in carry-on (not checked) bags or luggage. Guests wishing to consume wine or champagne that they have brought on board in one of the dining rooms will be charged a corking fee of $25.00 per bottle.
Are Disney Cruise Line able to accommodate different dietary needs/allergies?
Disney Cruise Line offers gluten free, vegetarian, no added sugar, dairy-free and lighter notes on all of the table-service restaurant menus. Additionally, kosher meals and other lifestyle/cultural meal options may be available upon advance request at no additional charge. Any additional special meal requests can be requested prior to departure, please ensure to let your sales agent know.
What is rotational dining?
Rotational dining is the Disney Cruise Line way of making sure that all Guests get to enjoy each of the 3 themed dining venues while on board.
Upon boarding, check My Plans in the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app for your restaurant schedule. Then, each evening, you, your tablemates and servers will rotate to a different restaurant. As you rotate, the same wait staff—who know your preferences—will serve you each night while you get to experience the unique atmosphere of each restaurant.
